We here at Manhattan Digest never turn down the opportunity to discuss the tasty types of cocktails you can make, especially with the warm weather that is coming our way for the springtime!  Well, one of our favorite places to eat, Ocean Prime, has developed some great new recipes that you can make in the comfort of your own home.  The Steak & Seafood staple in Midtown Manhattan has the following concoctions for you to enjoy.  So prepare, relax, and enjoy.

Cocktail: Berries & Bubbles

Service Glass: Cocktail Glass Prep Glass: Mixing Glass

Garnish: Marinated Berries*

Ingredients:

1¼ oz. Belvedere Cytrus

¾ oz. Crème de Cassis

1½ oz. House Made Sour Mix

1 oz. Domaine Chandon Brut

Preparation Procedures:

1) Combine Belvedere Cytrus, Crème de Cassis and house made sour in

mixing glass.

2) Add pellet ice to mixing tin.

3) Shake vigorously.

4) Add dry ice and marinated berries to chilled service glass.

5) Strain mixture in service glass.

6) Finish with Domaine Chandon Brut float.

Cocktail: Cucumber Gimlet

Service Glass: Highball Prep Glass: Mixing Glass

Garnish: Cucumber Ribbon on Clear Spear & 2 Stir Straws

Ingredients:

1½ oz. Bombay Sapphire Gin

1 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice

1 oz. Simple Syrup

4 to 5 Slices of Cucumber

Preparation procedures:

1) Muddle cucumber and 3 pieces of pellet ice in mixing glass until

cucumber is pureed.

2) Add remaining ingredients to mixing glass.

3) Add ice to mixing tin.

4) Shake ONLY to combine.

5) Strain over fresh pellet ice in service glass.

Cocktail: Kentucky Rose

Service Glass: Collins Prep Glass: Mixing Glass

Garnish: Mint Sprig & Beverage Straw

Ingredients:

2 oz. Bulleit Bourbon

1 oz. Fresh Squeezed Lemon Juice

1 oz. House Made Grenadine

5 drops Bittercube Cherry Vanilla Bark Bitters

3-4 Mint Leaves

Preparation Procedures:

1) Combine all ingredients in mixing glass.

2) Add pellet ice to mixing tin.

3) Shake to combine.

4) Strain over fresh pellet ice into service glass.

Cocktail: Blood Orange Mimosa

Ingredients:

1 oz Boiron blood orange puree

0.5 oz Grand Marnier

3 oz Domaine Chandon Brut

Preparation Procedures:

Combine puree and Grand Marnier in mixing tin.

Shake moderately.

Add Domaine Chandon Brut and stir gently.

Strain into champagne flute.

Garnish with an orange wheel.
