As if we couldn’t get enough of the gag-worthy season that became Season 8, RuPaul’s Drag Race fans will be experiencing another level of sickening this year as “All Stars 2” will be coming out in the upcoming months.  They did a teaser commercial for it during the finale of season eight, which is making all of us very excited to see who they bring back for the ultimate redemption and to win the crown that they all couldn’t do the first time around.

With the lineup not yet announced (yet we all are dying to know), Manhattan Digest has come up with five names that deserve to have a second shot.  These are all queens that were stellar in their seasons for many different reasons, yet somehow had a memorable slip up or two that prevented them from winning it all in the end.  Take a look at who we think should come back.

Alaska Thunderfuck- Season 5

All you people got so mad at me when I did my Top 10 list for leaving out Alaska in particular.  No shade, she was my number eleven overall on that list, however she is my number one for this list for so many reasons.  Alaska had way more to prove in her season than anyone else as she had the issue of her former boyfriend Sharon Needles winning the crown the season before that.  Tackle on auditioning five times, and a ton of doubt from her competitors, and you can see why she had to perform on a higher level than the others.  Alaska was primed to win in the end against Jinkx Monsoon and Roxxxy Andrews, which many fans thought she actually would as she gained a ton of momentum towards the last couple of episodes, however it was Jinkx who won all the glory.  Alaska deserves to come back, more than any other queen who has competed so far.

Courtney Act- Season 6

I feel like Courtney Act got a raw deal from a lot of the fans who watch this show overall.  People found her tone and behavior a bit abrasive, especially towards Joslyn.  However, she really was quite the competitor with her incredible fashions, quirky personality, and fantastic performances in challenges that never landed her in the bottom two, similar to Bianca Del Rio.  She is still the only Aussie to appear on the show, and would be a great international queen to take the title of All Stars 2.

Alyssa Edwards- Season 5

My god, is there any queen more quotable than Alyssa Edwards from any freaking season of this show?  Alyssa really is one of the funniest people the show has ever seen, and she doesn’t even realize how just damn funny she is.  Not to mention being a master at beating a face, fierce fashion, and a legend in the industry, she is no doubt a shoo in in my eyes for All Stars 2.

April Carrion- Season 6

April got such a raw deal in her season.  Her fashion was so on point and her personality was so lovely and refreshing, that I thought she could go the distance and be the first Puerto Rican girl to win this thing.  i don’t think her performance as the butch lesbian was bad at all, and there were worse people in Shade: The Rusical, than her.  If this season is about Redemption, she deserves it more than most.

Phi Phi O’Hara- Season 4

If there ever was a drag queen dictionary and the definition of the word “hungry” came up, you would find Phi Phi’s photo next to it.  Was she blatantly bitchy to the point of unlikability?  To a degree, yes, but she was there to win, and didn’t put up with anyone’s shit, it just came off the wrong way.  If that didn’t come across that way on the show as much as it did, I think she would’ve been a stronger contender against Chad and Sharon in the final two.  Just like the other four, she deserves a ton of redemption and I hope to see her at the starting line when All Stars Two premieres.

Who would be in your top 5?
