Summer time really means there is no excuse to get out of your apartment, house or whatever you live in and see the best of the best in what Manhattan really has to offer. This of course includes the lovely aspect of shopping, which there is a plethora of places to drop some money at in order to be styling, profiling, and looking and feeling fly throughout the summer. This week, Grand Bazaar NYC, an international shopping market, has opened its doors to the public for an exclusive preview before their grand opening during New York Fashion Week on Sunday, September 11th. How exciting is that?
Grand Bazaar NYC will be NYC’s largest, with over 100 curated vendors featured each week. Locals and tourists alike can come out to find one of a kind antiques, art, artisanal jewelry and an eclectic assortment of tasty treats. Each Sunday, new purveyors and pop up shops will be brought in to create a unique experience for visitors every time they stop by.
In addition to the weekly market, special events will take place over the course of the summer and fall. A Summer Ice Cream Blizzard featuring the best artisanal ice cream makers will take place on July 31st. And on September 25th, Grand Bazaar NYC will host a special Artisanal Jewelry Bazaar with the city’s most talented designers.
Grand Bazaar NYC was created in order to give back to the local Upper West Side community. Every time a vendor commits to selling their goods at the market, four schools in the surrounding area including PS 87, The Computer School, PS 334 and PS 452 benefit. 100% of the net profits benefit over 4,000 public school children by providing them with much needed school supplies, books, art enrichment and sports programs.
Grand Bazaar NYC is located at 100 W. 77th Street at Columbus Avenue. The indoor and outdoor market will be open from 10am – 5:30pm on Sundays. For more information visit, www.GrandBazaarNYC.org.
