This week is going to be big for people who like their drank and partaytay! Why so? Well, Cinco De Mayo is this coming Thursday for one, but it is also Tequila Week (get those hangover remedies people!). So many places to celebrate the holiday and this week, so why not choose a place that has a ton of great food, drink and activities prepared to celebrate, all under one roof? One place that we highly recommend is Beer & Buns, located right outside Grand Central on East 39th between Park and Lexington. Travel Idea! Stay at The Omni Providence in Rhode Island
As someone who has primarily lived in New York his entire life, the only other place that I can call home to a certain degree is Providence, Rhode Island, where I attended college for five years. Providence has the convenience of being wedged between New York City and Boston and even though is a smaller city than both, it makes up for it with its charm, beauty and endless amounts of fun things to do. If you are planning on heading to Providence in the upcoming weeks or months, or even want to stop by and experience all it has to offer, one place that I highly recommend checking into is The Omni Providence, located right in the heart of the city on W. Exchange Place. [Read more…] about Travel Idea! Stay at The Omni Providence in Rhode Island

Review: Archer Hotel in Midtown West Makes the Grade
When Glen Coben and his design firm began work on the Archer Hotel, they attempted to break away from the traditional hotel space by incorporating a more residential feel to the boutique. Coben, along with Peter Poon Architects masterfully achieved their goal with this hip and charming haven in Manhattan’s Garment district. Review: Times Square’s Famous Knickerbocker Hotel
In 1906, when The Knickerbocker Hotel opened its doors, weary travelers were able to experience top of the line luxury for an estimated $3.25 per night. Built by John Jacob Astor IV, the building tipped its hat towards French architecture with a stately Beaux Arts design. Fifteen years later, the party ended, presumably due to the onset of prohibition, and the hotel ceased operations. The lavish rooms were subsequently converted to offices, where Newsweek magazine housed their publication from 1940-1959. [Read more…] about Review: Times Square’s Famous Knickerbocker Hotel
Head to the East Village and Try Kingsley for Brunch
If you don’t like Brunch, then you need to be studied. Especially if you are a New Yorker. New Yorkers are to Brunch what the Beyhive is to Beyonce, or what Britney Spears is to our eventual marriage (she will figure it out eventually). We all love rising late on Saturdays and Sundays, getting our friends together over some Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s, and having a great time. Luckily, I have found the next best thing in your Manhattan Brunch, and this place is called Kingsley, located in the heart of the East Village.
