We have grown to absolutely adore and love Park Avenue Tavern here at Manhattan Digest. This Grand Central-adjacent location has provided us with some of its heartiest and tasty American fare that we have devoured at each occasion we find ourselves there. Last weekend, a friend of mine was visiting from Kansas so naturally I wanted to take him there to experience how great it is in all its glory. Little did I know that Park Avenue Tavern has an off the chain brunch that made us giddy as myself when I find out that Chris Pratt is in town! The Amazing Father-Daughter Duo of Ben & Jack’s Steakhouse
With Father’s Day right around the corner (happening tomorrow), it’s good to highlight stories in and around Manhattan that showcase some amazing special relationships between a father and their child. Case in point- Harry Sinanaj, one of the four owners of Ben & Jack’s Steakhouse, who has brought in his wonderful daughter Tina Sinanaj to operate their 5th Avenue location as well as oversee the construction and opening to their second location opening next month on 44th Street. Those are pretty big shoes to fill for anyone in the restaurant world, and from the looks of it, Tina seems to be doing pretty well. City Perch Kitchen + Bar is Worth the Trip to Dobbs Ferry
You have to do a lot of convincing to get this city dweller out of Manhattan, as I tend to be a bit of a snob in thinking that the best food in the world is right here. Then, I get my head out of my butt and realize that is not at all true. Case in point: City Perch Kitchen + Bar, a mere 20 minutes away from NYC in Dobbs Ferry. I took a friend there a couple of nights ago for an intimate media dinner where I got to know the location, the food, and its marvelous chef who brought it all together.
