Bowling is one of America’s favorites past times. Even if you’re not that great at it, there is a part of you that enjoys all of the excitement of it. Earlier this month, Bowlmor Times Square reopened after undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation that adds to the already commendable approach they initially brought to the bowling experience.
Located on 222 W 44th street between 7th & 8th, the new renovation highlights the New York City of yesterday and today that people from around the world have grown to love.
With the uniquely-themed bowling lounges, each of them contribute a distinct feeling from different eras in the city’s history, while highlighting notable landmarks as well.
Imagine it this way- you step off the elevator and instantly you feel as if you jumped into a life size map with options to bowl in Chinatown, Central Park and even Coney Island.
With an interactive arcade that is not only for children to nourish in, you’ll soon get a taste of the future with the modernized versions of the games we grew up on.
On the top floor there are three more bowling suites that features graphics from the Art Deco movement, lounge modeled after a Prohibition-Era distillery and a Pop Art-inspired bowling suite that channels the style of Warhol and Lichtenstein through custom graphics set dramatically against gallery white walls and the world’s only jet-black lanes.
The menu has been modernized to Instagram-worthy specialties like the outrageous Behemoth Burger—a 5-lb, 14-inch-round party burger named one of America’s top burgers by USA Today.
With three levels to explore, you’ll be sure to hit a level of excitement you never knew was possible from bowling. Bowlmor Times Square remains the ideal venue for birthday parties, private gatherings, date nights, and corporate events.
The venue is open Monday–Thursday from 2PM–12AM, Fridays from 12PM–3AM, Saturdays from 11AM–3AM, and Sundays from 11AM–12AM.
