If you are a lover of the holidays, but don’t want to spend hours in front of a stove (like me), then you have zero problem with heading to a fantastic restaurant who will provide an epic feast for you and your friends/family. Thanksgiving is one of those holidays, and some of the best spots here in Manhattan are going above and beyond to ensure that your “turkey day” is memorable.
Take a look at some of the places who will make sure your bellies are happy and full in a couple of weeks.

Benares has been a popular dining destination in Tribeca for Indian cuisine. It offers great options for vegetarians on Thanksgiving, which includes over 20 meat-free dishes like Malai Kofta, vegetable and cheese dumplings cooked in a cashew and onion gravy and Khasta Gobhi, lightly battered crisp cauliflower with garlic and crushed pepper in a tangy sauce—if you didn’t know it was cauliflower, you would easily say it is chicken.
Benares’s menu is inspired by Northern Indian cuisine. Highlights include Dahi Ke Kebab, creamy, seasoned fried yogurt patties, Chicken Tikka Smokey with clove, smoked curry yogurt, served with mint, and Galouti Kebab, lamb shoulder marinated with papaya and Chef’s special spices. For seafood dishes, selections range from Tomato Fish with flaky, fork-tender basa in a zesty tomato sauce, to Cheema Thenga, plump jumbo prawns in coconut milk curry.
On Thanksgiving Day, Benares will be open at its regular hours, from 11AM-3PM for lunch and 5PM-10:30PM for dinner and will be serving its regular menu.
