New Yorkers yearning for the comfort food from a favorite Hamptons hot spot will no longer have to make a special trip for it.
Old Stove Pub, the well-known and storied Sagaponack restaurant opened another outpost earlier this week in Midtown East.
SouthHampton local Joseph DeCristofaro gained ownership of the Hampton location in 2020. Established in 1967, the dining spot has changed hands over the years.
After an extensive search in New York, DeCristofaro finally landed a space on 59th and 1st Ave. The new location has a similar vibe as the original except for the view: Instead of pastoral greens, guests will enjoy busy street views with even busier passers-by. The NYC interior offers a modern, warm setting with wood floors and white tablecloths.
DeCristofaro’s staff plan to alternate between both locations, but he intends to keep a similar menu, replete with popular items like steak, seafood, and lamb chops grilled to perfection.
Late last month, the restauranteur opened his doors for a sneak preview to media, influencers, and successful socialites-including art gallery owners Gigi and Rodrigo Salomon.
Live music and karaoke nights are planned for the city venue. It is sure to become a comfortable spot for those already familiar, and a go-to favorite for newcomers.
