The Queer Urban Orchestra is an amazing example about how the arts in Manhattan are far from dead, and how they are rather thriving in this bustling city that I love so much. I did not know about its existence up until a couple of weeks ago, when one of its members and principal second violin James Teal invited me to their first concert in 2017. Upon my exit from the concert was where I truly realized just how important organizations like this are, not only to the world of arts but to our amazing LGBTQ community and its supporters. One on One with Bruce Beckham: Don’t Call it a Comeback
Ten years ago, we saw Britney Spears have her epic meltdown, the iPhone make its debut and an incredibly handsome guy named Bruce Beckham enter our television and computer screens in quite the impressive way. Bruce’s chiseled good looks and persona made him easy on the eyes in more ways than one, and after hanging in the industry for a bit, he decided to leave it and pursue other ventures. Now, he’s back and better than ever, but the question remains, why did he leave in the first place? [Read more…] about One on One with Bruce Beckham: Don’t Call it a Comeback

Get to Know the Smoldering & Charismatic Jason Vario
Jason Vario is a good example of why it can be hard for me to do my job, mainly because he is so unbelievably good looking that it can make any normal gay man quiver. His chiseled features, gorgeous smile and more are backed up by his intelligence, charm and appeal that I recently found out when we chatted this past weekend about his booming career. The interview with him actually turned out to be one of my favorites for the men that I have profiled in this industry, and here’s why. The Top Twenty Best Queens in RuPaul’s Drag Race History
We all freaking love RuPaul’s Drag Race, and if you don’t you should be ashamed of yourself. The best reality show on television just finished an amazing 2016 with their 2nd edition of All Stars and a phenomenal 8th season that rebounded from a devastatingly boring 7th season. Earlier this year in March, I did a highly debated article on who I thought were the top 10 queens of all time on RuPaul’s Drag Race, however with the addition of the stellar season 8 queens and the re-emergence of the All Stars 2 cast, it has changed my mind on who currently sits not only in my top 10, but my top 20 as well. Lips “Christmas Spectacular” Sashays This Holiday Season
With the chilly weather coming through louder than Mariah Carey’s sad vocal efforts, it is a great time for us Manhattanites to go inside and experience the warmth in many ways… including our love of the drag community. Lips, New York’s ultimate drag show palace, has now launched a weekly “Christmas Spectacular”, which will be happening every Tuesday night this December. I took a friend there this week, and had an absolute blast in so many ways. [Read more…] about Lips “Christmas Spectacular” Sashays This Holiday Season
Beefcake Returns Storms Through Club Remix
Bear parties are always fun to go to in Manhattan, and the “Beefcake” series are tops in terms of the diversity of men that show up, great music, fun atmosphere, and the ability to be yourself and not feel judged. That is how every bear and gay event should be, and Saturday night’s Beefcake Returns exemplified that and more when it hit up Club Remix. [Read more…] about Beefcake Returns Storms Through Club Remix
