New York City boasts that it is the birthplace of pizza. (Screw you, Chicago. We win.) We have “the first pizza parlor” and $1 slices all over town. We can get it delivered to us at any time of day or night. We have gluten-free pizza places. We claim it’s just better here, (something about the water?), and we are damn proud of it. With all of this, I’m always surprised when someone can change the pizza game, and completely succeed. [Read more…] about PN Wood Fired Pizza is your New Favorite Pizza Place… and More

Celebrate Fleet Week on The Hudson with Bateaux & Spirit of New York!
Fleet Week, which is coming up on May 25th-31st, is one of the biggest weeks in New York City for several different reasons. The flood of our amazing military personnel will be decked out in their crisp white outfits, which we can see adorned all throughout Manhattan for us to welcome them in, thank them for their protection of our country, and maybe even get a date or two (we can always be hopeful). What’s even better, two great dining vessels, Bateaux New York and Spirit of New York and New Jersey, are going out of their way to make sure that they and you have a great time! More of New York Photography Unedited
I mentioned in my last article that as I progress as an artist I am coming to different conclusions as to the use of post editing to enhance photographs. At what point do they stop being photos and become pieces of graphic art. If you have viewed this space over the past years you will have noticed that I have come right up to this line and even past it on a number of occasions. A Manhattanite in The Pocono Mountains: Welcome to Silver Birches
Now that the warmer weather has finally arrived, Manhattanites have zero excuses when it comes to getting outside and seeing what the city has to offer. Outside of that, you will find that for travel purposes, some of the best places to visit in the spring and summer time are a mere hour or two away, albeit train or car ride. A place that has always stuck out in my mind for tranquility, beauty, effervescence and above all enjoyment is The Pocono Mountains, which is a quick 90 minute drive away from the concrete jungle of Manhattan. After spending the past weekend there, all my thoughts about this beautiful part of Pennsylvania were realized and then some, especially with the first part of my trip- staying at the newly renovated Silver Birches, located in Hawley alongside the absolutely stunning Lake Wallenpaupack. Take Me IN to the Ball Game — At The Grayson in the LES
April to October is my favorite time of the year. That’s right, y’all. Baseball season. I start watching the games during spring training and I watch them all the way through the last game of the World Series. Unfortunately, being from Texas, I don’t get to see many games with my team (RANGERS NATION!!) live up here in the city. And THAT is why we need sports bars. The Grayson, on 1st Avenue, just north of Houston, is exactly the place for someone like me. [Read more…] about Take Me IN to the Ball Game — At The Grayson in the LES
