Manhattanites rejoice! A three day weekend is upon is, as Memorial Day is hitting the NYC area this coming Monday! Eighty degree weather means we all need to get out there and enjoy ourselves with friends and family. With so many great options for food and fun this weekend (and all year round), where should you stop to enjoy yourself and indulge in something savory & sweet? Foragers Table in Chelsea has you covered!

The Chelsea hotspot is kicking off summer with a full brunch menu on Memorial Day from 10am – 2:30pm. From the classic (super green egg white omelette, whole wheat wrap with Alderfer Farm eggs, grass-fed steak and Vermont cheddar) to the creative (rich chili with housemade cornbread, whole wheat waffles with apple butter, housemade bacon jam, and fresh whipped cream from the Hudson Valley), every menu item at Foragers Table uses locally-sourced ingredients — even the Bloody Mary features organic tomatoes and the Kombucha is house-made in Brooklyn – for a meal that celebrates American culture and community.

After an indulgent meal, groups can take a quick detour in the adjacent Foragers Market to pick up organic wines and American-made cheeses for a memorable Memorial Day picnic.
Sounds pretty awesome to me! I know several people who have been to both and they really enjoyed the outcome of a great location and wonderful meal. For more information on Foragers Table, check out their official site. Happy Holidays everyone!
