Remember dinner and a movie? Such a retro thing nowadays that we don’t cherish anymore, but our favorite Manhattan food delivery app is changing that with a fantastic dish inspired by a popular documentary series. The app is obviously Maple, and they are spotlighting a dish called “Juan Likes Rice & Chicken”, the same name of the episode from Documentary Now! The episode premieres this Wednesday on IFC, but you can order the tasty new dish starting today with a special bonus!
The episode on Documentary Now! For “Juan Likes Rice & Chicken”, is about Young Colombian chefs who learn the tricks of the restaurant trade from their strict father, Juan, whose celebrated restaurant only serves one dish: chicken and rice. How amazing is that? Here is how Maple describes all of it, including what goes in the dish, per their website: It’s a dish held to Juan’s rigorous, eccentric standards: the best ingredients, or nothing. Our roasted chicken breast—seasoned with turmeric, achiote, and cumin—is served over Colombian red rice mixed with bell peppers and scallion and then topped with a creamy cilantro sauce. Black bean and grilled corn salsa comes on the side.

This particular episode is written by Saturday Night Live alum and late night mainstay Seth Meyers. When you order the dish, you get a complimentary link of the episode to watch while you chow down! So why not get a sneak preview of this amazing dish, that has to be that tasty as it is the only thing Juan offers in his restaurant?
