There is a new dining spot opening near the World Trade Center today, June 21st. Located in the semi-new Brookfield Place, Del Frisco’s Grille is sure to be a go-to steak house for the bougie people living and shopping there. I mean what else does one do after a shopping spree at Gucci but go eat some filet mignon? Duh.
There are several locations of Del Frisco’s Grille all over the United States, but this was my first encounter with them.

I had the pleasure of going to their VIP Preview Party the other evening, and I have to say, I was impressed with their presentation. Upon arriving we were greeted with a cocktail and food! I was one happy camper.
The service was stellar and everyone was on point. You could tell the staff had their game-face on! Not a patron was left without food nor drink in their hand.
Passed hors d’oeuvres were constantly being circulated. My favorites include Filet Mignon Sliders, Ahi Tuna Tacos, and Heirloom Tomatoes with Mozzarella on skewers. Everything was delicious.
Alcohol was also flowing quite liberally. I tried two of Del Frisco’s signature cocktails. I’m usually not a martini fan but I really enjoyed the VIP – Sweet Hawaiian Pineapple-Infused Svedka Clementine Vodka.

However, the main event for me was the raw bar. It was glorious. I ate my fill of oysters, shrimp, and lobster. I made my Jewish grandmother roll her eyes in shame with my uncleanliness. It was so yummy. I could literally eat two dozen oysters and still have room for more. I did not do this there. It was an upscale event and I can be classy if need be.
I can hardly wait to come back to Del Fresco’s Grille for dinner! I am sure they will live up to their awesome party. For more info on the new location inside Brookfield Place, please visit their website.
