There is a new rooftop bar that has just opened up in the off-skirts of K-town. Located in the swanky HGU Hotel (which we’ve stayed in before and had a blast in doing so), Rooftop at Rose Hill is intimate and trendy.

You might be thinking “ugh, not another rooftop bar.” First of all, there are never enough rooftop bars in NYC, and second, this one isn’t swamped with tourists which makes for a lovely and relaxing evening surrounded by New York City’s skyline. It’s also cute and cozy, the perfect spot for an intimate date or a private party.
We went to their special event for press and got to indulge in these cocktails inspired by the upcoming U.S. Open.
Cross Court Crush – Absolute Elyx, Lillet Rouge, Strawberry, and Guava.

This was refreshing and delicious! A perfect cocktail for a summer’s evening.
We also tried: Match Point – Absolute Elyx, Cucumber, Ginger, and Mint. It was almost like drinking a super fancy Ginger Ale.
Grand Stand – Absolute Elyx, Pea Flower, Honey Syrup, and Lavender. I don’t know but it totally tasted like lemonade. Which is great, because who doesn’t like lemonade?
We also got to enjoy these yummy passed hors d’oeuvres:
Cucumber with Salmon Dill, Roast Beef, Prosciutto with Sweet Pea Shoots, and some Risotto Balls.

A special guest also made an appearance – Jelena Ostapenko, an up and coming tennis player. Ms. Ostapenko made headlines at the French Open this year by winning her first singles title and her first pro title! She is someone to definitely keep your eyes on at this year’s U.S. Open. Did I mention she’s only 20 years old?
We had a blast at the Rose Hill party! I think I will be coming back before a night of karaoke or Korean BBQ in K-town.
