Whether visiting relatives over the holidays is a stressful affair or a joyous one, good food should remain the constant. Chances are high, however, that once the family feasts are devoured, you’ll suffer leftover fatigue by day two and will want to explore some more inventive options.
Fortunately, Noodles World Kitchen has you covered. The fast casual chain was recently in New York City to announce the launch of their new mac and cheese line. The company’s executives and foodies mingled in midtown last month to enjoy three styles of American’s favorite comfort food: Buffalo chicken mac, truffle mac, and—my personal favorite—BBQ Pork Mac. Each of them are hearty enough to satisfy any appetite and are the perfect antidote to bone chilling weather.

Chefs were also on hand to share existing menu items including Thai Green curry with shrimp, Penne Rosa and Spicy Chipotle Adobo. Carb and calorie counters could cozy up to the Pesto Cavatappi, a vegetarian dish made with spiralized zucchini noodles. Desert lovers could end the meal with warm rice crispy treats.
Noodles World Kitchen is not your typical fast food chain. In addition to their unique offerings, they pride themselves on fresh ingredients and spend hours perfecting menu items created by top rated kitchen professionals. On a special diet? Gluten-free and vegetarian diners have plenty of options. Though they don’t offer many vegan items, most dishes can be custom ordered to fit individual requests. Those searching for light fare can opt for soups and salads.

Noodles World Kitchen also embraces a civic mindset by supporting a number of children’s and community causes.
Their restaurants are spread throughout the continental United States but the idea was conceived in Manhattan by founder Aaron Kennedy. Since launching in 1995, Kennedy’s idea has grown to over 450 locations nationwide and is now a publicly traded company.

With the multitude of mediocre chain restaurants invading our city, let’s hope that the leadership at Noodles World Kitchen puts down roots here. It would be a welcome addition for harried and hurried city dwellers. Until then, check out their website for the closet locations across the U.S. Whether visiting family or travelling on business, you’ll be a short drive from this globally-themed, pasta paradise.
