Lola Taverna is a place you just want to go to. Why? For so much but one thing that sticks out more than anything is their scrumptious take on Greek cuisine that I am still salivating over many days later.
The newly opened South Village hotspot is already the name on many foodies lips given how popular it has become in a short period of time. I stopped by there with a friend recently where it was empty upon arrival (6pm folks, we were hungry) but packed by the time we left where smiles were seen on many a customers faces.

Lola Taverna is properly decorated to make you feel like you are on an island of Greece with their decor and atmosphere. The lush lighting, sprawling bar and intimate seating areas were just three of the many things that impressed me about a place that I see becoming a big hit in 2020 and beyond.
The food, of course, was delicious, as the chefs behind the plates really exemplified what Greek food is supposed to be. Items like their Spanakopita Spring Rolls (stuffed with scallions, leeks, feta and more) and their Meatless Keftedes (faux meatballs with sauteed spinach and feta foam) were two great items to begin our tasty evening.

Their market fish by the pound options are the cream of the crop at Lola Taverna as each item is expertly prepared to your liking with side dishes that compliment the main component wonderfully. The Lavraki, a traditional Greek delicacy that is also known as a European bass, was bursting with flavor as we devoured each sinfully delicious bite while feasting on their Grilled Asparagus and Roasted Lemon Potatoes.
Definitely a place I recommend going but act soon as the reservations at Lola Taverna, especially for the holidays, are sure to be piling up.
