Taco Mahal in Hells Kitchen from a Vegans Perspective

by Lane Campbell

In this special edition of a ManhattanDigest restaurant review we caught up with Arjun Rai the CEO of HelloWoofy a New York technology startup just before he had to fly to San Francisco. Arjun was here to help review Taco Mahal vegan dishes. Taco Mahal recently opened in Hells Kitchen and seems clean, modern, and well run. There was clearly a lot of attention to detail in the way they clean and they had their staff still wearing masks for their customers sakes.

Arjun Rai the HelloWoofy CEO at TacoMahal
Arjun is a vegan who decided to try the Naan Chana Masala and Chutneys. He found the portion size to be very generous.
Food
Arjun was quick to proclaim that Taco Mahal paid close attention to detail, was impressed with how quick the food arrived, and enjoyed the way the food was served in a manner that didn’t make a lot of fuss with utensils and plating.
As Arjun dug in he commented on the very rich taste, the hint of mint, and the strong herbal scent. He exclaimed “this is like family dinner!”. As he continued he further stated that the food was freshly made, very warm, fresh out of the kitchen, and didn’t taste like fast food. He mentioned that the sauce flavor is rich in spices and herbs but not spicy at all. The food was cooked clean, not dripping in oil, and was well salted to add flavor. Arjun added as he wrapped up his meal that the food was very good vegetarian/vegan recipes and very clean.

While we sat and ate the cool breeze from AC pushed along a nice smell toward the seating area. This is definitely a restaurant we will be back at!
