Dana Tai Soon Burgess, founder and director of the Dana Tai Soon Burgess Dance Company, has always had a passion for equity and equality. During lockdown, his company produced several social justice videos that included names like opera singer Marian Anderson and Star Trek Legend George Takei.
This weekend, his dance troupe will focus on another hot button current affair: immigration and the Border Wall. In conjunction with an exhibit at Washington D.C.’s National Building Museum, his company will perform El Muro/The Wall. It will be followed by a presentation and discussion with CAIR (Capital Area Immigrant Rights Coalition).
The performance and discussion will take place on Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 5:00-7:30 PM ET at the National Building Museum. For more information, visit the museum website.
