There is nothing quite like a celebrity court case to get tongues waggin’ and queens draggin;. The queen in this case is Linus Karp. With his writing partner/husband Joseph Martin, the pair is skewering the infamous 2023 televised drama that unfolded over a 2016 ski trip. Terry Sanderson (Martin) accused Gwyneth Paltrow (Karp) of running into him on the slopes of Utah’s posh Deer Valley Resort.
With the help of the audience, pre-recorded singers Cat Cohen and Darren Criss, and a video appearance from Trixie Mattel, the two are recreating the whole ordeal to the hilarious hilt.
Pre-selected audience members stand in as Terry’s girlfriend and as Gwyneth’s producer husband, Brad Falchuk. Fear not. Their script is already written and they read their lines from cue cards.

Karp and Martin provide lyrics and the book and also serve as co-directors. The pair certainly know how to lean into camp and provide a consistent flurry of chuckles through the 90 minute show.
Whether you’re a die-hard admirer of Paltrow or not a fan at all, it’s all delivered with cheeky fun and good hearted humor. After this run audiences can look forward to the pair’s return in January as they present Diana: the Untold and Untrue Story about the world’s most famous Princess. It’s sure to be a royal riot.
Gwyneth Goes Skiing is now playing at the Soho Playhouse (15 Vandam Street NY, NY) through November 16th. For tickets and information, click here
