Delicious Tiki Cocktail Recipes To Enjoy At Home In Manhattan!

by Ryan Shea

Can’t make it to the islands for the Winter this year?  Having major FOMO (Fear of missing out) that you will be super jelly of all your friends drinking delicious cocktails in a warm environment while you avoid the brisk and cold weather that we have been having?  Fear not, because Caliche Rum is bringing the Tiki cocktails to you with these delicious recipes you can make at home!

Rum and tiki cocktails have gone hand in hand for decades, thanks to one of the most influential bartenders of the 20th century, Don the Beachcomber. Rum had been considered a “poor man’s drink” before Prohibition, but Don took advantage of rum’s availability and concocted his own recipes, fathering many of the original tiki cocktails that we know and love today. Today, tiki cocktails are not only found in the usual beach bars (often in tiki mugs with umbrellas), but also in upscale “tiki palaces” and fine dining establishments. Whether you like swizzles, daiquiris, Pina coladas or Mai Tais, you can’t go wrong this Valentine’s Day (or any other day) with these faux-Polynesian sips to bring the romantic getaway to you (recipes below)!
