How awesome is it that there is an actual holiday that celebrates my favorite type of drink… the Margarita? Well, it really exists and boy oh boy is it full of deliciousness. Yes, National Margarita Day is this coming Monday, and for all you Manhattanites, there are some really awesome locations that want to guarantee that you will have a blast and maybe a decent hangover when you go to work the next day (tee hee). Check out some locations that we think will keep you and your friends satisfied with tasty drinks, eats, and more.

Blockheads NYC: Multiple Locations
What goes better with a margarita than a tasty and delicious burrito? That is what you get when you hit up one of Blockheads several different locations throughout Manhattan, including ones in The Upper East & West Side as well as Midtown. Their infamous bulldog margaritas will be $5 on Monday at all locations and their classic margaritas will be $3 the entire rest of the month!

The classic bulldog margarita has been a NYC staple at all nine locations for two decades, made up of a frozen margarita with a mini beer and shot of tequila. Additional flavors and variations are available (menu above) and the beer can always be substituted for a split of champagne to create the “French Bulldog”. You can’t go wrong with a classic frozen margarita, or on the rocks, made with Blockheads’ in-house mix, skipping the sugary chemicals! The above deals are available at all locations on Monday with the $3 deal on the classics running through March 10th at the new East Village location. Enjoy!

Copper Kettle Kitchen- 1471 2nd Avenue
Copper Kettle Kitchen, located comfortably in The Upper East Side, sources some delicious American bistro fare with some fantastic cocktails to go along with. This coming National Margarita Day is no exception, as they are pulling out all the stops to make sure you have a great time.

Copper Kettle Kitchen will be offering their ‘Latino Heat’ margarita at half price ($7) from 5pm to close that night (2/22). Composed of fresh lime juice, award winning 100% agave Altos Plata tequila, rich in herbal, sweet and citric notes, and Anchos Reyes chile liquer which delivers a taste of dried chile, spices, cinnamon, cocoa and tamarind, this cocktail is simple in design but complex in flavor and finishes with a bit of heat. And there are plenty of snacks to choose from while sipping on your margarita – including a Whipped Ricotta dip with scallions, truffle oil and homemade ciabatta for dunking, the Slow Roasted Pork Flatbread with crushed tomatoes, provolone, and caramelized onions, and homemade Cheddar Biscuits with bacon-maple butter – making Copper Kettle Kitchen a great place to celebrate the occasion if you are looking for something a little different than the usual tacos and quesadillas. Sounds tasty to me! For more information, check out their official site.
Happy National Margarita Day everyone! Please drink responsibly.
