Sharon Yumeng Wang graduated from Parsons the New School for design in 2013 with a thesis collection chosen by professionals for the Parsonsʼ Annual Runway Show. She launched her eponymous label the very same year. Inspired by the myriad of decorative arts that impacted the architecture and landscape of the metropolis with a clean overall style, Sharon’s works can show great levels of sophistication while displaying elements of playfulness at the same time. She believes firmly in the detail, craftsmanship and material of her design and is proud to present her own custom prints every season.

Sharon’s collections are geared toward a very contemporary, sophisticated woman who is aware of current fashion trends and street style. Her pieces have been photographed in both major editorials as well as fashion week street style, most notably in Vogue Japan from this past season. Her designs attract chic women who gravitate towards streamlined and professional cuts, offset by beautiful pastels, creative cutouts, and playful prints. She is constantly courted by top editors as an up and coming designer who truly understands what it means to be a young professional woman in the city.

It is very impressive that someone who only graduated from Parsons three years ago has already gone on to do huge things in a city where fashion reigns supreme and standing out amongst the bunch is a very tricky thing to do. I look forward to seeing what Sharon has in store for her bright and amazing future ahead.
