La Colombe will open its first café in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood on Friday, April 22 at 7 a.m. La Colombe 27th St. will be located in the Terminal Warehouse at 601 W. 27th St.
“It has been incredible to see this neighborhood grow and change over the years,” said JP Iberti, President and Co-Founder of La Colombe. “We’ve had offices here for 15 years, and now terwe’re excited to be opening a full-service cafe and invite people in.”
La Colombe 27th St. will occupy the space of a former manufacturer at Terminal Warehouse. It will retain elements of the original interior, including exposed brick, large wood columns, and wood floors. And, with 2,260 square feet, the café will serve as a meeting point for many of the area’s surrounding businesses. The café will not offer Wi-Fi, aligning with the brand’s philosophy to unplug and encourage customers to relax, read, write, and socialize.
La Colombe 27th St. will offer a beverage menu of traditional and inventive coffee drinks, including the revolutionary Draft Latte, which is served cold on tap. The Draft Latte comes directly from the mind of Todd Carmichael, who invented the process to create a beverage that is beautifully textured with frothed milk and cold-pressed espresso.
La Colombe has partnered with City Bakery to offer an assortment of freshly baked sweet pastries and savory options.
With the opening of the new Chelsea location, La Colombe operates 6 cafés throughout New York City, as well as additional cafés in Philadelphia, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Boston.
Founded under the belief that America deserves better coffee, La Colombe works directly with coffee farmers to source the best tasting, most exotic, and rarest beans, and roasts them to accentuate their natural flavors.
La Colombe 27th Street will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
