Even though thousands watched the season 8 winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race get crowned on television, the real crowning took place last night at Stage 48 in Manhattan, where either Bob The Drag Queen, Naomi Smalls or Kim Chi took home the title. So who took home the crown in NYC last night?
Not a shocker to many, my girl Bob The Drag Queen took home the Season 8 crown last night after a stellar showing all season long. So proud that for a second time in three years we have a NYC queen taking it home after so many amazing ones before her and Bianca Del Rio.

I chatted with Bob before everything went down last night. She looked stunning in her black ensemble, not to mention the fact that she thought I was adorable. Facts are facts, hunties. When asked one word to describe this experience she simply said “Sickening. You want two words? Fucking sickening. No show is at the forefront of its craft than Drag Race is. No person is at the head of their game better than RuPaul. Even Beyonce doesn’t run music the way RuPaul runs drag”.
Things got a little shady, but fun, when I mentioned I couldn’t do drag due to my bear realness to which Bob said “Talk to Thorgy, ha!” We also got to chat about the premiere of his video “Purse First”, which she gushed about. “I am so proud of this project, we did the video like a short film, we really took it seriously. We got Laila McQueen in the video, Manila Luzon and Derrick Barry, and Todrick Hall who has become a good friend of mine in this process.” Now that she’s won, she is trying to produce a comedy special called “A Queen For The People” which you can help out with here.
More exclusive interviews to come today with Kim Chi, Naomi Smalls, Derrick Barry and some other special guests!! Stay tuned.
