BBQ lovers rejoice! One of Manhattan’s favorite block parties are back in a couple of weeks, and the music and food lineup has been announced! This is the 14th Annual Big Apple Barbecue Block Party, which is making its return to one of the most beautiful parts of Manhattan- Madison Square Park. Happening on June 11th to 12th, it is the place to be to enjoy some of the best music out there with some of the tastiest types of BBQ food out there, made by the masters of the industry. Napkin up people, its worth it.

The event will feature pitmasters from all around the country, including some pretty amazing ones from Manhattan and Brooklyn who are competing to be best of the best in their respective fields. This includes my personal favorite Hill Country, as well as Dinosaur B-B-Q, Blue Smoke, and Hometown BBQ just to name a few. The geography runs the gamut when it comes to who is flying here to participate, including pitmasters from states like Texas, North Carolina and Alabama, just to name a few.
Attendees can finish strong by indulging in irresistible, barbecue-friendly sweet treats from the Original Fried Pie Shop out of Texas, and NYC’s very own Milk Bar.
The 2016 Music lineup features great live acts performing throughout the weekend at the main stage set in the Southwest corner of the park, across from Shake Shack and adjacent to the festival’s beer garden. This includes Demolition String Band, David Ryan Harris, and many more providing some great music throughout the weekend to enjoy with the tasty food you’ll be devouring.

For those seeking an expedited experience, the FastPass is back. Enjoy exclusive access to the express lanes throughout the weekend for the FastPass holder and one guest ($125). Additionally, attendees can purchase a VIP Pass ($275) to receive FastPass credentials as well as access to a private VIP Tent with an open bar. Both passes include $100 value towards food, drinks, and merchandise throughout the weekend. A limited number are available now. Visit bigapplebbq.org/tickets for more information.
