Now that we are in warm weather season, as well as outdoor events galore, chances are we are going to be consuming a lot of heavy dishes that can leave us feeling more stuffed than full. Although known for their prime steaks and indulgent seafood dishes, OCEAN PRIME New York also features a variety of cool, lighter fare for the summer that will still leave you more than satisfied. Let the naughty food porn ensue!

The newest surf and turf restaurant from the Cameron Mitchell Restaurants empire arrived in Midtown this fall (the company’s 11th location), and is doing phenomenally well for itself since its opening. Their offering range from delicious salads, sushi and more! Sushi and raw bar offerings include: the Prime Roll with Tempura Shrimp, Cream Cheese, Scallion and Beef Carpaccio; Lobster Roll with Poached Lobster Tail, Kiwi, Pickled Serrano, Masago and Spicy Mango Puree; Ahi Tuna Tartare with Avocado and Ginger Ponzu; and Chilled Crab Meat Cocktail.

Seasonal salads include: the Blackened Salmon Salad with Strawberries, Red Grapes, Goat Cheese and Poppy Seed Dressing; Asian Tuna Salad with Chili Rubbed Tuna, Seven Vegetables, Toasted Almonds and Rice Wine Vinaigrette; Chopped Chicken Salad with Asparagus, Corn, Dates, Avocado and a Cabernet Buttermilk Dressing; and Flat Iron Steak Salad with Tomatoes, Olives, Marble Potatoes and Mustard Vinaigrette. Delicious, light and filling- what more could you ask for!

I will be doing an official review of them this Monday, can’t wait to try all these out and follow up with our readers! For more information on OCEAN PRIME, check out their official site.
