For any restaurant to celebrate a decade in business, especially in New York City, is quite the accomplishment. The turnover rate, especially with the annoying conglomerates moving in and an economy that is still recovering, is quite high here in Manhattan, so you must be doing something really special in order to make yourselves stand out from the crowd and be loved. That is what Boqueria NYC has done, and they celebrated its 10th anniversary in style last night with some pretty big names, food, drink and more.
Over 175 tastemakers including fashion designer Nicole Miller came out for Boqueria’s 10th Anniversary celebration, which took place at the restaurant’s Flatiron location on Monday, August 15th. Inside the Spanish tapas hotspot, guests indulged in wine, sangria and specialty cocktails along with some of Boqueria’s signature small plates from Executive Chef Marc Vidal ranging from patatas bravas and blistered shishito peppers, to dates wrapped in bacon and Serrano ham croquettes. The revelry also spilled onto the street where the public was offered complimentary Churro ice cream sandwiches from the Van Leeuwen ice cream truck, which was parked right outside the restaurant. And diners at Boqueria’s other locations on the Upper East Side and SoHo were offered complimentary churros after dinner.

I have yet to go to the one in NYC but visited the one in Washington D.C. a couple of months ago for brunch, and if the DC location is anything like the NYC one, I can completely see why they have been open for so long. The cuisine is perfectly cooked with some amazing sharable options to enjoy with your friends and family. Kudos to them on their 10th Anniversary, and many more!
