When you think of refreshing things to drink during the summertime, chances are the first one that comes to mind is of course Lemonade. Lemonade really is the perfect summertime drink, as it is cold, sweet, tart, and all things delicious. Well, with National Lemonade Day coming up this Saturday, several Manhattan mainstays are doing something special for the day so you can enjoy with your friends and family!
Take a look at what they have to offer- whether it is a fragrant, martini, spicy or boozy & berry filled, at least one of these places has you covered. Enjoy!
For a Fragrant Lemonade
Brooklyn Lantern (77 Box St.): Those adventuring within the gorgeous Greenpoint neighborhood in Brooklyn will come across the Brooklyn Lantern inside The Box House Hotel, a colorful restaurant that echoes the style of its artistic neighborhood. Those who enjoy French and flowery twists to classic drinks will enjoy the bar’s Whore Shoes and Hand Grenades lemon cocktail, made with fresh lemon juice, lavender syrup, Violette, Triple Sec, and gin. For the holiday, the restaurant will also offer a basil lemonade with freshly squeezed lemon juice and hints of basil for $5.

For Lemonade Martinis
Duet Restaurant (37 Barrow St.): Guests may head over to this West Village hot spot for its Lemon Basil Martini, made with fresh lemon juice, lemoncello, lime, gin and fresh basil. Made to be drank al fresco, enjoying the views of the vibrant neighborhood.

Haven Rooftop (132 W 47th St.): Guests will find the best views of the Manhattan Skyline at this sunny rooftop restaurant in the heart of the Theater District. Its Eclipse lemon martini will be the perfect refreshment while soaking up the views, as it is made with fresh lemon juice, pineapple juice, New Amsterdam gin and Triple Sec.
For Spicy Lemonade
Reserve Cut (40 Broad St.): Considered as New York’s largest kosher steak house located in the Financial District, guests will find a spiced-up lemonade alternative with the cocktail bar’s Te Caliente. This lemon drink is made with freshly squeezed lemon juice, jalapeno-infused Tequila, thyme-infused syrup, and ginger. The restaurant will also offer spiked lemonade “picnic coolers.”

For a Boozy, Berry-Filled Lemonade
Tender Steak & Sushi (132 W 47th St.): Located inside the beautiful Sanctuary Hotel, this Asian-fusion steakhouse offers a fresh twist to the boozy lemonade with The Blues. The drink is made with fresh lemon juice mixed with lime, muddled blueberries, agave, and New Amsterdam gin.

Auntie Anne’s Pretzels- Multiple Locations
Auntie Anne’s, my personal favorite pretzel place ever, is hosting a fundraiser nationwide on Saturday in honor of National Lemonade Day. In addition to our annual campaign for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation where customers can purchase paper pretzel ribbon icons for $1, on Saturday, a portion of every sale of Auntie Anne’s old-fashioned lemonade will be donated to ALSF. How awesome! For more information, check out their official site.
