The state of New York, Long Island in particular, has birthed the names of some of the biggest entertainers in the world. Everyone from Billy Joel, Mariah Carey, LL Cool J and more has started here with hopes of making it big. And boy have they ever. Now, a new kid on the block in the world of comedy is getting his name out there for the masses to enjoy, as he is one of the recurring stars on the new CBS hit “Kevin Can Wait”. This is Ronkonkoma native Chris Roach.
Whether you’ve seen him perform stand-up comedy or in various roles in commercials and TV, there’s no doubt Long Island comic/actor/writer Chris Roach brings unique brand of loveable, self-deprecating humor to everything he does. Now, with his recurring role as “Mott” on Kevin James’ new sitcom “Kevin Can Wait” , produced by CBS Studios in association with Sony Pictures Television — which centers on newly retired police officer Kevin, played by James, who looks forward to spending more quality time with his wife and three kids only to discover he faces much tougher challenges at home than he ever did on the streets– you’ll have yet another reason to watch this rising star!
Christopher Brian Roach is a Ronkonkoma, NY native who has also appeared in film and television from Comedy Central to The Michael J. Fox Show, Limitless, The Onion Sports Network, and had a recurring role as Rodney the loveable mental patient on ABC’s One Life to Live. He regularly performs stand-up at some of the biggest and best known stages in the tri-state area such as The Borgata in Atlantic City, Gotham Comedy Club in New York City, Governor’s Comedy Clubs on Long Island, and many more!
Chris enjoys coaching youth hockey as well as spending time with family and friends. A big believer in giving back, he often spends time doing charity events and sharing his comedy. For the past several years, he’s worked with Angela Gulizio of G & G Talent Management.

And with so much more in store for Chris Roach, you’ll want to be sure to tune in to CBS Monday nights at 8:30PM/7:30c to catch him in his new role as “Mott” on “Kevin Can Wait” and stay tuned for more upcoming stand up performances, including Darcy Novick Presents: The 14th LI Comedy Fest at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury Saturday, November 5th at 8PM!
