We have been big fans of Beauty & Essex for a while now, especially since our review a couple of months back. Helmed by Food Network superstar Chris Santos, the amazing Lower East Side location has now added Beauty Parlor Tuesdays, where you can catch up with friends for food, drink, decor and more!
Tuesdays, especially in Manhattan, are generally a blah day that we just want to get through. Beauty & Essex want to take that idea and do a complete 180 so that you can end your Tuesdays on a high note.
Located in The Pearl Lounge upstairs area, guests can dine on some of their delicious food that includes mouthwatering options like Tuna Poke Wonton Tacos, Grilled Cheese, Smoked Bacon & Tomato Soup Dumplings, Oven Braised Chicken Meatballs or Braised Short Ribs. You also have the option to enjoy their decadent drinks while jamming to the music of Dimitry Mak.
Not familiar with Beauty & Essex? Here is how I described it in a previous article- When you see the outside of Beauty & Essex, as well as what the interior looks like, it doesn’t scream restaurant at all. The entrance to the location is actually tucked behind a pawn shop of sorts, which made me feel very “Legends of the Hidden Temple” when I walked in. After you made it through the pawn shop, you open a very large door into Beauty & Essex, which is adorned with an absolutely stunning bar which then leads into a plush atmosphere, dimly lit with some fantastic seating for you and your friends.
Beauty & Essex is a very unique location, and doing something like “Beauty Parlor Tuesdays” just adds to what makes this place separate from the pack. Definitely something you should try out. For more information, check out their official site.
