I love all parts of Manhattan, but my particular favorite happens to be The Upper West Side. This area is filled with some amazing museums, places to shop, and of course… food! So when I discovered Guyer’s Bar & Cafe, and the amazing brunch they were starting, I knew I found another amazing gem in my favorite part of NYC. Little did I know how incredible this place, and the owner, would be!

Guyer’s Bar & Cafe, located on Columbus Avenue between 73rd and 74th Street, is still relatively new to the foodie scene in the UWS. It is a relatively smaller space, that has beautiful wood furnishings and a large bar that encompasses the middle of it. It’s owner, Cindy Guyer, is a ball of energy that I did not see coming when I stopped by on a rainy Sunday! Cindy is an amazing actress who has been on the cover of thousands of romance novels, not to mention a quick stint on “The Real Housewives of New York City”, and her own episode of “The Millionaire Matchmaker”.
Cindy Guyer sells the place with her charm, personality, effervescent liveliness and so much more that made me and my guest feel very welcome. We stopped by there around 1PM to get a sampling of the tasting brunch food that she and her amazing chef had in store for us. We were pleasantly surprised to say the least.

The brunch menu, although small as of now, packs a punch in execution, flavor and so much more. Cindy’s grandmothers recipes are incorporated into the dishes, and include everything from their mouthwatering French Toast with berries, Vegetarian Omelette with a side of home fries, and their amazing Bacon and Canadian Bacon, will sure feed your appetite and keep you full in this chilly weather that we have been amazing.

I love small little touches that can help complete a meal, and Guyer’s does that with their tasty Corn and Blueberry Muffins to enjoy before the bigger part of the meal comes out. And of course, you can’t have Brunch without some amazing drinks, and their Mimosas and Bloody Mary’s really did the trick for us that day. Overall, we had a wonderful time and cannot wait to go back!

Guyer’s is also open in the later hours, so feel free to stop by, enjoy some food and drink, and of course… Cindy! For more information, check out their official site.
