Super Bowl 51 is shortly upon us, coming up in a couple of weeks on February 5th! With the excitement of which team will be playing, Lady Gaga doing the halftime show, what commercials will make us laugh the most and so much more, many Manhattanites are trying to find the best spot to enjoy it all! Luckily, we have found four great spots we think you should try for sports biggest night!
Professor Thom’s (219 Second Avenue)
This diehard Patriots bar will be supporting their team until the very end of the NFL season! The first 20 customers through the door on Super Bowl Sunday will receive a limited edition Patriots-inspired Professor Thom’s tshirt. New England breweries Harpoon, Downeast Cider House and Sam Adams will be serving up beer specials and giveaways throughout the day. Regardless of who is actually playing, anyone at the bar in Patriots gear will be treated to a FREE champagne toast during the National Anthem! The Barrel Room at Park Avenue Tavern (99 Park Avenue)
A few blocks from Grand Central, The Barrel Room at Park Avenue Tavern is the perfect Super Bowl option for commuters or Midtown East locals. The Barrel Room is a private lounge tucked beneath Park Avenue Tavern. Each of the 6 booths comes with 4 in-table taps and a convenient view of one of three TV screens. Boulton & Watt (5 Avenue A)
For a true VIP Super Bowl experience, reserve the one and only booth at Boulton & Watt. The game will be shown on 7 TV’s throughout the bar, but the VIP booth comes with its own private screen and two in-table beer taps! All drafts will be $7, a selections of homemade pickle backs will be available for $9, and 64oz growlers of TBD beers from each of the Super Bowl contenders’ respective cities for just $20. The VNYL (100 Third Avenue)
This East Village hot spot will be going all out for their first Super Bowl! The game will be shown with sound on 5 TV’s in the basement Lion’s Den, a 36 square foot projector in the main bar, and another 36 square foot projector and 5 more TV’s in the upstairs Black Room Room. Open bar packages will be available from $75 per person, with private rooms available for up to 40 people. All packages include Game Day snacks, such as Jameson Habanero & Guinness BBQ Wings and The VNYL signature Out & In Sliders. Post-game DJ and dancing starts at 10pm.
