Insomnia Cookies, with multiple locations scattered across the Manhattan area, are a sweet lovers dream in many different capacities. As someone who has quite the sweet tooth myself, I can truly say that their variety of freshly prepared cookies are some of the best that the city has to offer, and for good reason. Whether you are having a craving during the morning hour rush or want one (or more) baked and delivered late night, Insomnia Cookies has all of that… and more.

It’s crazy to believe that an idea like Insomnia Cookies was birthed in the dorm room 14 years ago, but believe it or not, it is true. CEO Seth Berkowitz was simply making these at University of Pennsylvania back in 2003, feeding the local brethren of students around him, and now all this time later has opened up 90 different locations throughout the United States.
The Manhattan locations alone has you pretty much covered all over the subway system, from Chelsea to The Upper West Side and Midtown East. Each location is small in size, but doesn’t need to be large as it is primarily a takeout place to indulge in your favorite kind of warm cookie to enjoy. I stopped by the Chelsea location on 14th Street between 8th and 9th Avenue (conveniently located next to the ACE line) to experience them first hand.
What I primarily love about Insomnia Cookies is that they really don’t need to change their menu up. Every now and then they add on something, especially around the holidays (like right now they have a limited time Red Velvet Cookie), but for the most part, things stay the same. And in this case, if it ain’t broke.,. why fix it. Their traditional cookies are absolutely delicious, in particular their Chocolate Chunk, Oatmeal Raisin, and Snickerdoodle just to name a few.
If you are looking for a couple of extra bites, you can try their Deluxe Cookies, which come in Triple Chocolate Chunk, S’Mores and Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup. Yummy indeed.

If you like ice cream with your cookies, fear not as they have what they simply call ‘wiches, which are sort of self explainable. Want simply ice cream? They have you covered, from small to quart.
Insomnia Cookies have a lot of great benefits. You can buy them in an awesome pack, like The BMOC, which comes with 24 cookies, and are available until 3AM to order. Even though we live in a city that never sleeps, most “sweet” type places close down at a certain hour, so having something like this available that late outside of Domino’s is freaking awesome.

So whether you are looking for something sweet after a meal, need to order something to perk up the boss or simply want to indulge in a chocolate fantasy of fun with your friends, Insomnia Cookies truly have you covered. For more information, check out their official site.
