Over the course of running Manhattan Digest, I have had the privilege of meeting some incredibly savvy and interesting people throughout my endless experiences that have shaped the journey of this website. A lot of these people have left some pretty amazing impressions on me that bring up the need for this article in that they deserve some extra shine in the spotlight. They all come from different creative walks of life, but each of them are incredibly determined and focused in what they want to do with their careers, similar to myself, and that made it easy for me to put them on my list of Manhattanites that you need to know.
Take a look at some of these Manhattanites whose careers are skyrocketing. You never know when you’ll see them next, albeit on the big or small screen, in your retail store, or at the next art gallery you will be at. Take a look.

Dylan Fisher- The Next Big Thing in Late Night
I came across Dylan Fisher through a mutual friend of ours who asked for me to be their guest in an upcoming episode of his hilarious show “The Late Live Show at Night”. The experience is filmed in his apartment by me in Harlem, and features a bevy of fellow comedians who treat the half hour live program similarly to how you see the network late night shows being run, only better. With Dylan, there is no pretentiousness, his approach is authentic and the result of each show is quite hysterical and thought provoking with each sketch and guest they have. Look out for this guy to be the next big name in late night, trust me. For more information, click here.

Tanisha Middleton- Fab Eyewear Designer & YouTube Star
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this sexy Manhattanite for over a decade now, going back to our days at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island. Tanisha has been able to accomplish so much at such a young age, and she was an easy pick for me to put on this list. Tanisha has this amazing company called Framed By Tee Tee, where she frames optics & sunglasses for everyone including major stars like Meryl Streep & Chris Noth, just to name a few. She also has an amazing YouTube series called Tanisha’s Video Diary, which just had its second season premiere a couple of weeks back. The episodes ring true to the title of the series, a grown woman who discusses the ups and downs of her life, personally and professional. Real and raw, Tanisha allows the viewers in to experience what her life is all about in that it will relate to many other people who work as hard as she does. Definitely something to check out. For more about Framed By Tee Tee, check out her official site, and for more about Tanisha’s Video Diaries, check here.

Chris Reed- Actor Extraordinaire
Chris Reed has been one of the best Manhattanites for nightlife here in Manhattan, but he is also an incredibly successful actor who has quite the resume behind him. He has been featured on major hit television shows of past and present that include 30 Rock, Gotham and Blue Bloods and was part of the critically acclaimed webseries Street Behavior. His chiseled good looks, great persona and funniness has attributed to his success, and with some great roles lined up for him in the future, I have no doubt that he will be the name on everyone’s lips shortly. For more information, check out his official site.

Nicholas Contrera- Burgeoning Photographer
Nicholas Contrera is proof that you can come from a small town in Michigan and make it in the Big Apple. One of the most handsome Manhattanites we have ever profiled on Manhattan Digest, Nicholas has made quite the dent in the art world with his amazing photography series that has been seen worldwide, including a recent stint in Australia which he showcased last year in Sydney. His use of color and black and white is quite astonishing, and has a couple of really big things coming next month that I will be hopefully editing this article to talk more about. If photography and art is your thing, then Nicholas Contrera is your guy. For more information on him, check out his official site.
