Last night, Meatpacking district hotspot Bagatelle played host to the amazing Kelly Osbourne, as she celebrated her cover of BELLA Magazine as well as her new book called “There is no F*cking Secret: Letters from a Badass Bitch”, which hits stores nationwide today. The lovely Kelly showed up in a gorgeous black and gold dress with her signature purple hair that was shaved on each sides, and looked absolutely fantastic. Not only that, but she took some time to chat with me about her exciting night, her book, and one crazy ass experience that she had in Manhattan!
I’ve always been a big fan of Kelly Osbourne personally, as she is a strong proponent of being unapologetically yourself. Her new book essentially discusses that, where she talks about all the crazy experiences in what it is to grow up in her unique family and how she has come out out it truly embracing herself in hope that others will do the same for their own individuality.

Her book isn’t the only thing that hits stores today, as her cover of the May/June edition of BELLA Magazine is also on newsstands. I spoke with Kelly about all of this, and was very impressed by her demeanor and honest candor about her life and upbeat personality. Take a look.
Your book is always about embracing the weird and the wonderful about yourself, which took me a long time to figure out myself. How long did it take you?
I’ve always felt that way, I was just told it was wrong. It’s one of the things where, I write in my book- every single human being on this planet is beautiful, smart, unique; it’s just simply whether or not they are brave enough to share that to the world. It is something that isn’t easy, it’s not. It’s easy to be a sheep and fit in with everyone, because if you don’t then you could possibly hurt someone’s feelings or something of that matter. At the end of the day, I’ve been called a bitch so many times that I might as well turn it into something positive.
I’m gay and get called a bitch all the time!
Ha, I love you! There are three things a man will call you when they want to attack a woman- when they are really mad at you and really want to attack you they’ll call you the C word, they will call you crazy, or a bitch. So if being a bitch is standing up for what I believe in, that I stay true to my morals and beliefs, then I’m fine with that.
Speaking of weirdness, what’s the weirdest thing you have ever seen in Manhattan?
You really want to know?
Yeah, I do!
I was walking down the street in Alphabet City. You know when you get to certain streets down there that you have to cross a little street and then you cross the main one? I could smell this disgusting smell, and I was like “What is this?” It smelt like somebody was actually taking a shit in the street. And I look over, and there is a man holding his shit in his hands. Then he finished, and kicked it out of the bottom of his sweatpants and kept walking like it was nothing! I was like, “Woah, this is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen in this city!” Me and my friend couldn’t stop laughing but gagging at the same time, so we got the hell out of there quickly!
Well that’s NYC for you, especially the Lower East Side. On a lighter note, what is your favorite restaurant here?
Oh, my god, there are so many here, I can’t choose!
Me too, and I get paid to eat.
THAT’S YOUR JOB! I’m so jealous of you.
Well, we have to be friends then!
Yeah? I’m going to hold you to that!

Kelly Osbourne’s book signing will take place tonight at the Barnes & Noble in Union Square beginning at 7:30 PM. More information on that here. For more on Kelly’s book, click here.
