I have known about the FEED Project for quite some time, and have admired Lauren Bush Lauren in her efforts to minimize childhood hunger across the world with this wonderful organization. She and her team are now taking this concept a step further by opening up their first ever retail shop tomorrow at 55 Water Street in the heart of Brooklyn! Here’s why you need to hop on the subway this week and check it out.
Lauren Bush Lauren has an illustrious history in her charitable work, especially with hunger which was most recently awarded at the Food Bank for New York City’s Can Do Awards last month (more on that here). Her company FEED creates great products that help feed the world’s most needed areas, essentially providing a tangible way for people near and far to help millions of people who need these resources to not only survive… but thrive.

Located within the Empire Stores development in DUMBO, Brooklyn, the new space offers both shop and cafe elements creating a dynamic, community-driven setting for customers. Essentially, this reads as a super unique cafe, where you leave with more than just a coffee and tote in your hand, you walk out the doors knowing you helped someone out. It is a fabulous idea that I hope works for Lauren Bush Lauren and the rest of her team!
Take a look at all the details below. I hope all my readers are able to stop in and check the place out!
