A place we seldom visit here at Manhattan Digest is South Street Seaport, which is such a short trip away from wherever you are on the 2/3 subway line. Based on our experience at The Tuck Room this past weekend, I suddenly find myself scratching my head over why I haven’t taken more of a chance to just see how beautiful and fun this area of Manhattan really is! And The Tuck Room is a classic example of why this particular area should be on your must list this coming summer.
The Tuck Room, located at 11 Fulton Street close to the water, is still a somewhat new concept as it has only been opened since October of 2016. In parallel to the uber fun and stylish iPic Theaters (more on that next week), this location provides the chillest of vibes on the third floor of its building, which shows a beautiful overview of South Street Seaport.

The purpose of me and my friend being there over the weekend was simply for brunch, yet we got way more out of the experience than just that. The lovely staff showed us around this unique and exhilarating location, which could easily be a spot where you will find the trendiest of social media influencers and celebrities all gathered under one roof.
After you go up the two escalators, you will find the general seating area which overlooks South Street Seaport. To the left of your entrance, there is a sprawling and gorgeously decorated bar and behind that bar is a beautiful lounge that is definitely something to look out for if you are an after hours kind of person. I love how the dark colors throughout, not to mention the gorgeous artistry on the wall, really brings this whole place together to make it a fun experience.

The brunch options here weren’t plentiful, but in many cases they don’t need to be if what they are doing is correct. Take their Lobster Cobb Salad, which at $8 for a half portion is a steal amongst steals here in Manhattan. This comes with luscious pieces of Poached Lobster as well as Cherry Tomatoes, Eggs, Avocado and Bacon. It all tasted well together, but I don’t think there is any dressing in this which it sort of needs, maybe a light Italian or something fresh and summery? Overall, it was a great dish though.

They also pride themselves on their tasty burger selection for the brunch portion of the menu, with their Yes, Chef Burger reigning supreme as our favorite of that day. This comes with Candied Espelette Bacon, Bone Marrow Aioli and Smoked Cheddar to really make for a pungent and dripping mess of a burger that went from Yes, Chef Burger to YASSSSS, Chef Burger. Definitely one you should try.

They also have some awesome deals going on for Mother’s Day, with a decadent buffet brunch and some Mom-Osas that the mother in your life can enjoy and then some. More on that here. Overall, we had a fabulous time at The Tuck Room and think you will feel the same as well.
