The Library Hotel Collection in Manhattan continues to be one of the best (if not the best) set of hotels you will find here in the city that never sleeps. Hotel Elysee, located in the heart of Midtown East on E. 54th Street between Madison and Park, is a standout here in Manhattan as well as their collection as they truly take old New York and incorporate it into 2017 in an incredible way. With the hotel season getting ready for one of their busiest times of the year, I will give you a couple of good reasons why you should stay at the Hotel Elysee.
Hotel Elysee has a ton of history to it, as it was opened almost a hundred years ago in the 1920’s. It also happens to be named from one of the finest French restaurants of that era. The thing with this hotel is, with the area it’s surrounded by and its luxury background, you would think it would be uppity and even antiquated with how technological everything is nowadays, but its not. Not even a bit. It’s truly something wonderful that I enjoy every single time I check in.
One good reason to check in is because check out isn’t until 1PM. I find that incredibly relieving as the normal hotel check out in Manhattan is at 11AM, so that extra two hour bump is fantastic and necessary if you want to get a late sleep in or just feel like relaxing before the travel ahead.

You also have the luxury of being in one of my favorite parts of Manhattan when it comes to food, where you are surrounded by some of the top restaurants in the city such as Bill’s Townhouse and Dos Caminos, two fabulous locations that we have written about before for Manhattan Digest. (Bill’s link here, Dos Caminos here.)

The rooms itself are all different sizes, yet all have a grand & regal feel to them. The lush uses of colors like blue and red encompass many of the rooms that you can stay in, with many of them offering a gorgeous overview of Manhattan. Some even have your own balcony where can entertain guests as your own leisure. It gets to a point where even leaving the hotel can be difficult because it is really that great.

They also provide a Complimentary Breakfast each morning, which is chock full of some of the tastiest pastries, bagels, fruit salads and more that will leave you full and ready for the day ahead. After your busy day, you can come back to their Complimentary Wine & Hors D’Oeuvres Collection Reception, which gives you a great selection of afternoon tea, wine, cookies and an assortment of cheeses and more.
For the summertime, Hotel Elysee has a wonderful package that they are currently offering called their Sweet Suite Summer. It is a prepaid reservation that offers 30% off their Best Flexible Rate. How awesome is that? (Link here).
