Over the past month, I have been fortunate enough to stay at all four of the Library Hotel Collection properties here in the amazing city of Manhattan. Each has provided their own whimsical approach to making your stay as best as they can be, and this all culminated a couple of days ago when I stayed at the one bearing the same name- The Library Hotel.
The purpose of why I do Manhattan Digest is to give our readers a unique view of this city and what makes it still sparkle and shine. The Library Hotel in particular offers aspects that are so fun, quirky and interesting that other hotels pale in comparison as they tend to be very monotonous and boring.
Something that has somewhat gone out of style (even though it shouldn’t) are books. Yes, you read that right- books. Not ones you can read on your tablet, we are talking the physical ones that we grew up with and still read from time to time. The Library Hotel has taken the concept of books and revolved it around their gorgeous property, where each room itself has a theme inside of it.
This is all based off of the Dewey Decimal System, which I never thought would be a factor in how you book your hotel room. This is what i am talking about when it comes to the uniqueness that this city brings, you won’t get this anywhere else. Within its ten beautiful floors, you will find rooms dedicated to History, Literature, Math & Science, The Arts, and so much more that will make you take apart your hotel room in a very different way and can even give you a reason to brush up on your history during your stay.
You also have The Reading Room, on the 2nd floor, which is opened 24 hours a day and offers gorgeous views of Madison Avenue while you enjoy some tea or coffee and relax in its spacious setting. The room also provides a fabulous brunch each morning, full of all of the best breakfast assortments while between 5-8PM there is a complimentary Wine & Cheese Reception where you can sip on some delicious Prosecco while nibbling on delicious crackers and cheese. Yum.
This summer they have a special called “Summer Nights at the Library.” This offers a 10% discount off of their best flexible rate when our readers book stays of 2-4 nights arriving June 18th through September 4th and 15% off for stays of 5 nights or more. Includes a complimentary bottle of rosé. Cancellation policy is 14 days prior to arrival.
This is an absolutely fabulous place to stay and if you are looking for a hotel this summer and beyond in Manhattan, then The Library Hotel is your answer.
