Street Taco has been one of our favorite restaurants to check out in 2017, as this newly minted hotspot in the heart of Gramercy expertly crafts an assortment of top of the line tacos, drinks, nachos, appetizers and more that really gets your spicy palette going. With how successful they have been over the past couple of months, they have now decided to go full throttle and develop a delicious brunch menu that includes a great alternative to the egg sandwich we all love and so much more!
If you want to know all about their scrumptious dinner options, you can see our original review here, but in this case, it is brunch only for your eyes to see and mouth to water. Brunch usually includes some sort of alcoholic beverage, and whereas I am not the biggest drinker in the world, I have to say that their Popsicle & Prosecco Bubbles are a fun and whimsical way to enjoy a drink. They throw an ice cold popsicle into your drink that comes with three different flavors- Strawberry Mint, Orange Ginger and Mango Chipotle. I opted for the Strawberry Mint, which went perfectly with Prosecco and made it the first time in my life where a frozen treat might have gotten me tipsy. Overall, the presentation and taste of it was superb.

Onto the food options! They have the usual taco and snack choices (please for the love of anything get their Street Corn Pops- they are to die for), but it is great in this situation to truly stick with brunch. Case in point- their Torta de Huevo. This comes with Scrambled Eggs, Charred Jalapeno Aioli, Guacamole, Lettuce, Tomato, Sweet Onion and Monterey Jack Cheese. The flavor explosion in your mouth is on the size of any July 4th Fireworks as all of the flavors combine into one hearty bite. I know what a good egg sandwich tastes like, as I grew up in Long Island with the best eggs and bagels out there, and this is a unique twist on what is the norm.

Not feeling an egg sandwich? Their Pancakes with Dulce de Leche, Cinnamon and Honey Comb Butter is a indulgently sweet treat for your brunch experience. Essentially, this takes the basic diner approach and elevates it with the ingredients on it. If that doesn’t do it for you, then their Brunch Taco with Chorizo, Potato, Scrambled Egg and Queso Fresco should do the trick. I am a HUGE Chorizo fan and to have this stuffed in with all the other goodies is a great 3 bite option that you should order more than one of.
