When it comes to choosing the right hotel to stay in when visiting Manhattan, often times the aspect of feeling like you are at home is lost in translation. Hyatt House New York/Chelsea, which recently opened up in Chelsea on 28th Street between 6th and 7th avenue, takes that aspect to a whole other level by bringing the comforts of home to you within the greatest city in the world. I recently checked in their over the weekend to see for myself why this hotel is one you should be booking for the summer and beyond.
Hyatt House New York/Chelsea has a special location in Manhattan as it is at the end of the beautiful flower district, where 28th street is filled with gorgeous greenery that leads up to this spectacular location. You open the doors into a spacious lobby setting, where the staff is incredibly accommodating with your check in and check out. That’s just the start of this fun journey during my stay there.

I stayed on the 20th floor, where upon my entrance I noticed something a little different about Hyatt House New York/Chelsea compared to the rest. There was a fully furnished kitchen, appliances, and everything else to give you the sense that you weren’t exactly in a hotel per se, but more like a posh and sexy New York City apartment that would make any of your friends totally jealous.

Hyatt House New York/Chelsea was designed by Nobutaka Ashihara Architect PC. The hotel’s design showcases a strong, vertical expression complemented by clean lines and a glossy, slender facade standing 30 stories high. Clean is definitely one of the words that describe the room that I stayed in, as the gorgeous walls and linens complimented each other beautifully. It provided enough space for me to enjoy by myself, or bring over a couple of friends before we headed out for a night on the town.

This past weekend was NYC Pride, which worked out greatly for the hotel as its proximity to everything was perfect. While myself and others were staying at Hyatt House New York/Chelsea, you had and have the opportunity to workout at the only rooftop gym in Manhattan! Take the elevator all the way up to the Workout Room and burn off some calories while you are there. If not for the workout room, then their terrace is absolutely stunning and gives some phenomenal views of Manhattan and is a clear reminder of why this city is just so amazing.

When it comes to dining, you don’t need to look any further than their amenities that Hyatt House New York/Chelsea provides. On the 2nd floor, they have their H Bar Lounge which offers complimentary signature Morning Spread breakfast in the morning and delicious home-cooked comforts along with creative cocktails, beer and wine in the evenings. Similar to the terrace, you have beautiful views of Manhattan awaiting you from dawn til dusk, and the food they provide is scrumptious and will leave you full and satisfied for the day ahead.

I would highly recommend staying at Hyatt House New York/Chelsea as they go out of their way to provide you with a fabulous experience that will leave you wanting to come back time and time again.
