Broadstone Bar & Kitchen might be a bit of a trek to get to, but once there you will understand why it was worth it, in so many ways. The three storied location, right off the Whitehall Station N-W stop on Broad Street, makes heading to FiDi even on the weekends plausible with its friendly atmosphere and absolutely scrumptious brunch options.
This is not necessarily a “fancy” location in Manhattan, but not every spot truly needs to be. If you enjoy a “bar” type setting, then its worth going to as each level of the location provides something a little different for its patrons throughout the day.

Broadstone has been opened for roughly a year now, and seems to be doing very well based on how jam packed it was when myself and a friend went there a couple of days ago. It stands out in an area where most people head home by 5:00 PM and begs you to want to stay, and the views you are able to indulge in while enjoying the food they provide are quite lovely and is easily a place that can be on any tourists “must see” while visiting.

Brunch is always a super happy and fun time for Manhattanites to go out around 1:00 PM to drink, eat and be merry while on their day or two off. Broadstone literally is a great spot for the “hangover” cure, unless you want to continue that buzz with their Bottomless brunch which is $19! This includes endless mimosas or strawberry belinis with a purchase of a meal. Yay!

Here are the brunch options you must try while there. Their Broadstone Cobb Salad was simply fantastic, and a great option for people who want to aid on the healthier side of things (I went back for another option that was a bit more calorie-filled hehe). This comes with Applewood Smoked Bacon and Grilled Chicken with all the usual “Cobb” fixings and a delicious oregano vinaigrette.

If you want something a bit heartier, I would recommend either their Chicken & Waffle Sandwich or their Grilled Ribeye Steak Sandwich. It’s sandwich galore and you’ll love every minute of it. The former comes with a fried egg over easy, which I don’t see too often when it comes to chicken and waffle together, but suffice to say it actually works with the execution of the meal. The steak sandwich comes with all the ingredients needed for something of this magnitude, with the red peppers, mushrooms and more really elevating the dish completely. Overall, this was a great experience and I hope you feel the same the next time you head there.
