How can you not like puppies, seriously? They are so adorable. What is even better is if they are tons of them all in one room together to celebrate something big! Cuteness overload. That is exactly what happened on Tuesday afternoon when “I And Love And You” partnered with pet food company Chewy and the gorgeous and multi-talented Lo Bosworth to put on a puppy shower to celebrate the launch of their puppy food starter kit during National Dog Week!
“I and love and you” partnered with Chewy to create this incredibly puppy kit for new pet owners to get better acquainted with the puppy or puppies of their choice. They also partnered with Manhattan-based Animal Haven Shelter to host an adoption drive. Just as with a baby shower, each ‘Pup of
Honor’ adoptee was showered with gifts to get them settled in their new homes.

The starter kit comes with all sorts of goodies for your pup to fall in love with. This includes “I and love and you” Naked Essentials Puppy Recipe kibble, new Super Smarty Hearties dog treats,
Cluckin Good Stew wet food, pet product coupons (on brands like Coastal Collar, DogTV, Outward Hound, and Molly Mutt), and a guidebook for everything a new puppy owner needs to know.
I was lucky enough to speak with the lovely and ever so sweet Lo about why she got involved with this in the first place, and the importance of pet adoption done in the right way. Take a look!

So tell me exactly, for the people who don’t know, why you are here at this adorable event?
So, today is a “puppy shower”! I And Love And You has put together these puppy shower kits basically for new dog owners. It’s everything you need to welcome your dog home and we are celebrating today with all these amazing pups!
I have adopted a number of dogs in my life at this point, and bringing a puppy home is so exciting and I’ve never seen a kit like this available. “I and love and you” is a brand that I love and my dogs love so I was so excited to see that they are working with Chewy.com to create this cool product for pet owners, especially if you haven’t had a dog before, it can be a bit intimidating. You don’t know what to get, you go to the pet store and online and there’s so many choices so to have something that’s curated and sent to you is really nice.
What is your absolute favorite item in the box?
I like the dental sticks they have for stinky dog breath! Make them that much more kissable!
And you are an advocate for shelters adoption as well?
Yes, I think that adopting is really important, and if you are going to get a dog from a breeder then do it in a responsible way.
