Many Manhattanites tend to stick to their surrounding areas when it comes to what they eat, drink and generally the places they hang out in.  Yes, we all love what this city can bring, but why not head up north a bit to see what The Bronx has to offer?  The Bronx is only a short trip uptown on the 4, 5 and 6 trains, and has a variety of fantastic places to go to that will definitely spark a new interest in this lovely neighborhood.

The South Bronx area was recently voted one of the best places to visit by Business Insider, and rightfully so!  Here is a list of some awesome spots to head to.  Eat, drink, be merry… and enjoy!

Bronx Zoo, Lions, Tigers and Bears, oh my! If you have never been to the Bronx Zoo, prepared to be impressed! It is the largest metropolitan zoo in the United States, and among the largest in the world.

Yankee Stadium, Root for the home team! Not a baseball fan? That’s okay – the incredible concession food makes The Yankee Stadium a must-see no matter who you’re rootin’ for!

New York Botanical Gardens NYC isn’t just a concrete jungle – get out of the city a bit to view this stunning nature scenery! There is much more to see than just the gorgeous gardens, with several events including art shows, music, and poetry. With more than a million plants covering 250 acres, this is a must see! You can’t leave the Bronx without visiting this gorgeous greenery.
