Nothing like bringing some south in your mouth into the Big Apple! That is exactly what acclaimed chef RJ Cooper will be doing on Saturday, November 11th, where he will be inhabiting The Beard House on W. 12th Street to feature some incredible dishes from his region and so much more.
James Beard Award-winning chef RJ Cooper will bring a taste of Nashville to New York City during his third dinner at the famed Beard House this November. Cooper will demonstrate what the “Nashville Buzz” is all about with his modernized Southern American cuisine from Henley, his new American brasserie located in the heart of what is becoming known as one of the country’s most popular food destinations. From New York City to Anchorage and now to Nashville, Cooper has spent his career studying the intricacies of regional American cooking.

The evening will begin with canapés and opening cocktails, followed by a seated five-course dinner of reinvented Southern-inspired dishes with wine and drink pairings by Henley head bartender and industry veteran Jon Howard. Created to be bright and fresh, Henley’s cocktails incorporate the same ingredients used in the kitchen to meld together food and beverage. The dinner will conclude with dessert and small bites.
The menu itself looks simply smashing, with items such as Pumpkin Seed Risotto, Seaweed Focaccia, Rabbit Agnolotti and so much more.

Tickets for RJ Cooper’s Beard House dinner are $135 for members or $175 for the public and can be purchased on the James Beard Foundation website here.
