The Cutting Room is celebrating Mother’s Day with a cabaret full of feminine energy. Celebrate your mom on mother’s day with brunch and classy cabaret entertainment! Guilty Pleasures Cabaret, NYC’s premier song + dance cabaret, is making mama proud this May with a Sunday brunch show dedicated to fierce females. Expect high energy dancing, hilarious drag, and astounding vocal talent. Produced and directed by a female team, the show is filled with sultry charm and feminine energy that brings out the classic side of the cabaret experience. Pondicheri is run by mother-daughter duo Anita Jaisinghani and Ajna Jai; the pair has been cooking together since Ajna was a child and this Mother’s Day is no different. The duo has created a special Mother’s Day Thali, which is available all day in two variations. A vegetarian platter ($24) is made with egg kofta, fried paneer and asparagus, grilled corn kadhi with cauliflower pakoras, onion pilaf, cucumber raita salad and a Sindhi ladoo. Or try the seafood option ($30) with Kerala crawfish biryani, roasted oysters, a potato cake with saffron yogurt and snail eggs, grilled corn kadhi with cauliflower pakoras, cucumber raita salad and a coconut moringa ladoo. You can also treat mom to breakfast with choices like the Breakfast Frankie or the New Yorker. If afternoon brunch is more her speed, the Bombay Benedict is a crowd favorite. Mom definitely deserves something sweet so be sure to save room for dessert as Pondicheri boasts a wide selection of treats from the Bake Lab and will debut its new ice cream ladoos ($4) in a wide range of flavors including Miracle Avocado, Indian Mango, Papaya Coconut, and Saffron Pistachio.

If mom’s got a large fan base, head to Carmine’s Italian Restaurant to enjoy humongous family-style portions. The generous menu features over 20 pasta dishes; a wide selection of veal, beef, and seafood; and plenty of delectable desserts. On her special day, mom will receive a complimentary glass of Prosecco. The restaurant will also be serving a Mother’s Day special dessert: a heart-shaped Chocolate Torte topped with fresh whipped cream, powdered sugar, and chocolate-covered strawberries ($19.95).

Roxanne Spruance, owner and executive chef of Kingsley (named Zagat’s Best New Restaurant) is offering a market-fresh four-course brunch prix-fixe menu for Mother’s Day ($75). There is something for everyone on the menu; first-course selections include Buttermilk Biscuits with house-cured maple bacon, and Smoked Ham and Gruyere Cheese Quiche. Choose Spring Onion Hash with scrambled eggs and black truffles, or House-Cured Wild King Salmon Gravlax with red onion, dill, and capers for your second course. Save room for third-course choices like Eggs Benedict with Lobster on Brioche, or Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes. Finish your Mother’s Day feast with a Cheese Plate with accents of blood orange, crostinis, and pistachio, Strawberry Rhubarb Shortcake, or Lemon Cake with Creme Fraiche Sherbet and Spring Blueberries.

Looking to treat mom to an authentic Japanese dinner without breaking the bank? Midtown’s Wokuni is offering two Mother’s Day prix-fixe menus for the occasion. Both menus consist of nine courses, including Wokuni’s signature sashimi platter, buri (king yellowtail) carpaccio, five pieces of sushi, and a dessert plate. The only difference between the two menus is the entrée: Long Island Roasted Duck ($75) or the Wokuni Steak — a Washu sirloin steak flambéed with Brandy on a stone ($95).

Flatiron’s Greek steakhouse Merakia invites diners to join them for a Mother’s Day brunch party. A three-course prix-fixe menu for $39 will be offered until 4PM, and includes unlimited mimosas for mamas only. The rest of the crew can enjoy one mimosa or a house-made “Bloody Merakia.” The food menu includes appetizers like Strawberry Salad and Shrimp Chiotikes with a feta chios sauce. Main courses include the Mama Benedict with a choice of keftedes or crab cake with hollandaise; or baklava pancakes served with Loukaniko sausages. End the meal on a delicious note with Homemade Ice Cream or a flaky Chocolate Baklava.
