Fogo de Chão is more than just a restaurant, it’s an experience. The popular Brazilian steakhouse, located right across from MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) has just announced some exciting news that coincides with the all the different types of meats and sides you’ll be having while there.

I first stepped foot inside Fogo de Chão over a year ago, and was truly amazing by what I saw, ate, and enjoyed. It’s essentially a fine dining buffet in a very large environment, where servers continually come to your table with an assortment of some of the best meats you will ever have.

As someone who enjoys a heavy hand when it comes to flavor, Fogo de Chão does this and then some. Everything you eat there is a flavor explosion in your mouth, and is not recommended for someone who simply puts a pinch of salt on things. Stay home if that’s you. For the rest of you, welcome, as everything from their steak to chicken and more is succulent and amazing.

Now, Fogo de Chão wants you to enjoy what you are having with a selection of some of the best wines in the world.  They have partnered with VIK Winery, a holistic Chilean vineyard creating world class wines, to offer its award-winning and best in category wines at Fogo de Chão locations nationwide.

Fogo is the first restaurant chain in the United States to offer VIK varietals, two of which are available now in all of their restaurants nationwide – Milla Cala (Red Blend, Millahue Valley, Chile, 2013) and VIK (Red Blend, First Growth from Chile, 2013). Pricing varies by market, but those listed below are for the Manhattan location:

Milla Cala: $15 (3 oz. glass); $28 (6 oz. glass); $110 (bottle)

VIK: $22 (3 oz. glass); $42 (6 oz. glass); $168 (bottle)

So why not enhance your delicious foodie experience with a glass of once of these tasty wines? I tried both during a tasting event that Fogo de Chão had recently, and each paired very well with what I was eating. Amazing food with a side of internationally incredible wine? Yes please!
