RSVP! 5 Can’t Miss Events in and Around Manhattan This October

New York City and its counterparts have you covered this October when it comes to food, entertainment and more. Whether its chilling with a delicious pint of beer, inviting your friends to a spooky night out or enjoying the tastes of what The Big Apple has to offer, chances are you will find something to satisfy whatever your heart desires.

Take a look at five can’t miss events going on in October. Trust us… you won’t be disappointed.

The Nationally Touring Bacon and Beer Classic Heads to Jersey City on 10/3 

The nationally touring Bacon and Beer Classic is coming to Jersey City for the first time ever on Thursday, October 3rd.  The after-work party will take over Harborside (210 Hudson St) from 6pm – 10pm. The Bacon and Beer Classic offers attendees a uniquely all-inclusive experience, all while coinciding with Oktoberfest. The truly epic tasting event will feature over 65 craft beers and 30 bacon dishes. Some of the participating eateries include Zeppelin Hall, Queens Bully and Jace’s BBQ. Play giant Jenga, bob for bacon and pose with friends at the event, while indulging in unlimited suds and grub. From savory, to spicy, to sweet, ticket holders will experience bacon like never before. Tickets can be purchased by visiting here.

Kristian Nairn Brings his RAVE OF THRONES back to Schimanski on 10/4

Hold the Door! Kristian Nairn, aka Hodor from Game of Thrones, will bring his internally-touring Rave of Thrones back to Schimanski in Williamsburg for a New York Comic Con After Party like no other on Friday, October 4th. The Springs Presents a Walk of Fear Haunted House on 10/4 – 10/31

Enter the Walk of Fear if you dare.  This Haunted House pop up at The Springs (224 Franklin St) in Greenpoint will be open from October 4th – October 31st from 6pm – 11pm on Sunday – Thursday and 6pm – 12am Friday and Saturday. There will be four terrifying rooms you can wander as you test how much horror you can take in addition to Trivia every Tuesday night at 9pm starting on October 27th, Costume Dance Party October 25th and 26th starting at 10pm as well as a new fall cocktail menu. Admission is one drink for adults and $5 for children and more information can be found by visiting here.

Celebrate the 10th Annual Taste of the Seaport on 10/19

An eclectic mix of the best food and beverage retailers and brands will come together at Taste of the Seaport on Saturday, October 19th from 12pm – 3pm at Pier 16 & 17 at the South Street Seaport. The event highlights one of the city’s fastest growing and developing areas and its vibrant and thriving restaurant scene.  Food lovers are invited to explore a variety of culinary options that the Seaport and Financial District has to offer with delicious dishes available to purchase from The Fulton, CUT by Wolfgang Puck, Hole in the Wall, Barbalu, Fresh Salt, Financier, Cowgirl Seahorse, Taco Playa and Suteishi to name a few. The annual event raises money for arts and enrichment programs at P.S. 397 and P.S. 343. Early tasting tickets are available to purchase and more information can be found by visiting here.

Grand Bazaar NYC Hosts a Scary Bazaar on 10/27

Don’t be afraid to visit NYC’s biggest and scariest weekly market, Grand Bazaar NYC (100 W. 77th St) as it transforms for Halloween into a Scary Bazaar on Sunday, October 27th from 10am – 5:30pm. Expect to be greeted by creepy crawly and ghostly decorations, and explore the 140+ vendors who will be on hand — many in costume — indoors and outdoors. There will be a fantastic selection of scary sweet treats from artisanal food vendors to celebrate one of the most fun days at the Bazaar. For more information, visit here.
