The Cheesecake Factory remains a heavenly institution. It’s a space we go to for more than just their delicious dessert concoctions as everything from its tasty menu to wonderful ambiance has kept us satisfied for quite some time.
I got the idea to do an actual review of The Cheesecake Factory after stopping by its sister restaurant Grand Lux Cafe earlier this month. It may sound crazy to write about this iconic company, as its already pretty well known and beloved by millions of people, but I wanted to give it a try as I haven’t been in a while and was interested to see if there was anything new that piqued my interest.
It was a crisp winter day during my visit to its location next to Walt Whitman Mall in Huntington, Long Island on Saturday (for those Manhattanites reading they have a space much closer in Queens Center). I brought along my adorable nephew for the occasion who was very excited about the feast we were about to devour.
The Cheesecake Factory has a lot going for it that other spots don’t. For one, its massive compared to many teeny tiny NYC restaurants with seating that appears to be endless (although some of it is purposefully left empty due to indoor dining restrictions).
Not only that but its a beautiful space to dine in as you take in the sights of its wonderfully decorated designs. I am, of course, leading up to the best part of why we go there… the food.
Here’s my first tip for anyone who is thinking about setting up a visit: go as hungry as possible. Their menu is almost book-esque with how long it is however pretty much everything they supply you with is down right tasty. So choosing 3-5 plates to share with your guests is pretty much ideal.
Let’s focus on the starters. Their Dynamite Shrimp brings the heat thanks to its side sauce. Another great option is their Cheeseburger Spring Rolls which is indulgent & sinful all at the same time.
Can’t forget to mention the Avocado Eggrolls and Pretzel Bites With Cheddar Cheese Fondue. A lot of these plates are great as to go options as well, especially if you’re in need for something to chow down with while watching The Super Bowl on February 7.
I’m a sucker for all things pasta at The Cheesecake Factory as they always bring it with the flavor that’s packed in each dish. Their Pasta Da Vinci is my all-time favorite as I can’t get enough of the Madeira wine sauce which pairs perfectly with the pasta, chicken and mushrooms that encompasses its plate.
If you’re a salad kind of person then I highly recommend their Barbeque Ranch Chicken Salad as it comes with all the yummy fixings like black beans and grilled corn in a splendid dressing.
Can’t forget their desserts, because, well DUH. The Cheesecake Factory has every type of cheesecake you could possibly imagine. Not only that but its a stellar way to end your meal so make sure you leave a little room in your stomach before ordering.
