Stars Unite for Holocaust Memorial Concert

“In remembrance, lies the secret of redemption.” These words, attributed to Baal Shem Tov, were spoken last evening at Temple Emanu-El by its Senior Rabbi, Joshua M. Davidson. Hundreds packed the massive synagogue on the corner of Fifth Avenue and 65th for A Concert Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Liberation of Auschwitz.  Leaders of several Jewish organizations, along with celebrity guest artists gathered for two poignant reasons: To remember the l.3 million lives that were lost at the Polish concentration camp and to honor the survivors, their families, and members of the Russian army who came to the rescue. The New York Pops kicked off a sparkling 2020 Carnegie Hall night with a reprise of its program Find Your Dream: The Songs of Rodgers and Hammerstein, an evening featuring the notable music of the famous songwriting team. Concert Against Bigotry Draws a Starry Cast

Two Time Tony Nominee Vivian Reed Brings Brand New Show to Midtown

Vivian Reed is done with standards–at least for now. After two successful shows (Standards and More and Vivian Reed Sings Lena Horne) highlighting the American songbook, the two time Tony nominee is switching gears with a brand new show entitled Little Bit of Soul, Little Bit of Pop at Midtown’s Green Room 42 on Saturday, June 15th at 7 PM.  “I’ve made my contribution to standards.
